At Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, we try to offer education, spiritual, and social programs to meet the needs of everyone from families with children to Seniors.  Wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!

Bibles and Books

Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM

Bible and Books meet on Sunday mornings to discuss the assigned reading from a variety of interesting books and sometimes the group may watch DVD series.

On Sundays, at 9:00 AM, the word is energetic! While children are invited to all services, they fully take part in this liturgy which focuses on the needs unique to their developmental stages in connecting with God and experiencing our Episcopal worship. There is a simple Bible story or lesson in place of a sermon, lively songs, interactive prayers, and Holy Communion. Parents, grandparents, and families with children attend and enjoy this uplifting hour! Even folks without children, but who enjoy the lively worship, attend the 9:00 AM.

Children’s Christian Education & Adult Forum

Sundays, 9:45–10:15 AM

Sunday School with the kids takes place at the conclusion of a shortened 9:00 AM service.  The kids go downstairs for art or music and a Godly Play Bible story.   Parents and adults remain upstairs for an adult forum discussion.

Communion Milestones

Communion Milestone Program for Children (7 years of age and older) and Parents

Do you have a child/grandchild (7 years of age and older) who are ready to go through the Communion Milestone program? Once a child is baptized they are openly invited to “commune” with their church families at our weekly Eucharist. Upon attaining the age of seven (as rational thinking skills begin) the Church has promoted and practiced for several decades now the opportunity for children to learn more about Holy Communion and its significance in our spiritual development. The program is also designed for parents!

Please contact Fr. William or call our office at (775) 329-4279 to sign up.

Episcopal 101 / Confirmation Class

These classes are for  anyone transferring to us from other faith traditions, adults seeking baptism, and those who are just searching for a home church.  Members wishing to renew their understanding of our Christian faith and Episcopal practices are also welcome to attend.  Classes are usually held in the spring and run no more than two hours.  The class is taught by our Dean, Father William.
