StoryMakers:

We use StoryMakers, NYC as our guiding curriculum here at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. StoryMakers is a not -for-profit, organization that designs Gospel resources for kids and teens to bring the Bible to life. We are diving into this student centered, inquiry-based program that draws students in as “story-makers” discovering and participating in God’s redemptive narrative. Come visit us to experience how we use art, drama, prayer, and social and emotional learning, to explore the word of God. We want young “story-makers” to know that God is with them, for them, and actively redeeming them.

The Nursery and Family Center:

Infant-3 years

We have a well-stocked and friendly room in our undercroft we welcome families to use to help care for their little ones any time they are at Trinity Cathedral. We also offer a supervised “nursery class” after the 9am Family services so parents can attend the Adult Forum.

StoryMakers Adventures:

4- 12 years

Our 5 – 12-year-olds are guided through the greatest adventures of the Old and New Testament through “Zines” such as “Creation”, “Promise Land”, “Kings” and “The Stars”. Theses Zines provide a fresh way for our kiddos to engage the Bible, connect in a group, and create. Each adventure Zine has about 12 weeks of materials that include historical context, fun facts, deeper thoughts, social-emotional tools, and lots of art! When we complete an adventure, the Zine goes home with each child as a journal -type memoir of their spiritual journey at Sunday School. We love how StoryMakers materials help children develop spiritually and invite them into God’s story in an unrestrictive way.

StoryMakers Teens:

13-18 years

Our Teens are valued members of our Trinity community. We meet weekly for a Teen Forum during our Sunday School hour between the 9AM and 11AM service in the undercroft of the church. StoryMakers Teen Zines use art and Design to communicate biblical truth and root students in foundational Christian beliefs. Each lesson of the teen Zine recognizes the diversity and learning styles of the next generation and includes six entry points for teens to connect theologically and a build biblical foundation.

Sunday School Traditions at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral:

In addition to StoryMakers, we continue to integrate our beloved Sunday School traditions here at Trinity Cathedral such as Game Nights, The Advent Family Workshop, Our Christmas Eve Nativity Pageant, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner, An Easter Morning Egg Hunt, and our End of the Year Picnic, and our interactive Puppet Ministry.

Episcopal Youth Community – EYC

13-18 years

We have monthly opportunities for Teens to meet as part of our Episcopal Youth Community (EYC). This group is supervised by adult volunteers and focuses on social, service, and fundraising activities for teens.
We can also help your teen meet any service hours their school may require them to complete. We will track their hours and fill out any paperwork they need.

Our Teachers, Guides, and Leaders:

We have a dedicated and loving team of volunteers who work together under the leadership of our director, Judy Landis, to spark your imaginations and draw children into God’s big story. All adults involved in our Children’s Ministry are safe church certified and engage in regular trainings to keep our offerings meaningful and fresh for our youngest members.
